Afternoon Flight - PER-SIN - Amenity Kit?

At some point they have to draw the line. SYD-PER is not significantly shorter.

I suppose intentional verse domestic. Again, given the cost of a J ticket from SYD-PER it wouldn't kill them to charge another $5 for pyjamas either.

I wonder if they deliberately don't do it due to the one toilet for ~30 pax ratio.

1-28 instead of 2-26 in the Int version
Possibly
But I suspect the hit rate - the number of people actually putting them on might be estimated to be low.
Additionally it will also interfere with the inflight service for a relatively short flight

I can remember a J SYD-SIN afternoon A330 flight some years ago with the new J seats. JimJams were offered but very few actually put it on.

I think it's ridiculous to hand out PJs for a 5 hour flight that's not overnight.

Many airlines don't have them at all even for much longer trans Atlantic / trans Pacific flights.

I'd prefer they save the money and spend it on better PJs, rather than what it seems they picked up from the Best & Less refugee collection and printed their logo on.

Then why waste the money with the mattress topper? Either you're going to sleep or you're not.

I wouldn't have expected that either, but I guess that's to protect the seat.

You can sleep in your own clothes.

Protect the seat from what? Why doesn't the seat need protecting on the SYD-PER flight? You can also sleep in your own clothes on a 14 hour flight. So why bother with pyjamas then? Arguments go both ways.

I don't know. My view is for the price of a J ticket, the option should be available should you wish to use pyjamas or the mattress, have a meal etc. J is about the option being there should you wish to use it.

I agree. Get rid of PJs completely.

I don't think the mattress toppers are disposable.

Yep 100% an amenity kit and a mattress topper was left for me at my seat when I boarded QF71 last month.

Coming back on QF72 last week there was an amenities kit (this was a special edition WA design instead of the current flock of "Qantas Through the Decades" ones), mattress topper, blanket, pillow - but no PJs.

Not that anyone would really have managed to get any sleep in. The meal service wasn't completed and the lights dimmed until almost 3 hours into the flight...
