Really? I have to have a jacket on all the time when I’m inside the ship? My cabin? At breakfast?

No. WCMO is their inability to write a coherent sentence of what they mean. What they mean is in the dining and bar areas you have to wear a jacket. Which is stupid enough in the tropics, but is it really so difficult to form those words in print?

Of course I’m going to put my backside on a chair in the bar jacketless and see what happens.

Might be slightly overdressed in the spa, but rules are rules.

We are a bit later than expected as our tug broke down 50m into the pushback at LHR.

On Silversea these days you will see on formal nights many men with no jacket or tie. A few Maitre’Ds will lend a jacket which invariably is carried to the table and is left over the chair.
I though actually prefer to dress up and have had 2 jackets plus a dinner suit on cruises longer than 30 days.
The only cruises we have done in the Caribbean have been Expedition cruises where jackets are not required at any time. Though I usually took 1 of my pink jackets.

So I can’t envision any fireworks in this particular instance.

WCMO ... spending 45 minutes walking around trying to find the shuttle (in -8 weather, feels like -16 according to our weather app), and then nothing by 11pm (which is the final shuttle time), so spend US$30 to get an Uber to the hotel. When we get there I asked whether there was an issue with it running ... to be told you have to call the hotel to get it to come. Nowhere on their website (checked both desktop version and app) is that mentioned.

Oh well, a couple of hours sleep then back to the airport at 6am.

I don't think the jacket is a problem per se, but the very poor instructions (which are also found in on the Silversea website about what to pack) where it is a blanket 'indoors' - duh - obviously they mean public areas but were sloppy and no one seemed to have seen the incongruity of the statement.

I do remember reading drron of the time when you left your pink jacket home by mistake though IIRC you bought a new jacket before boarding.

thats like Outlander. Short cut in 2020 due to obvious. Then next two seasons shortened again. 2023 they filmed the next season but only showed half. Waited a year and are now showing the last episodes filmed over a year ago.

Guess we've almost finished Diplomat too then but am finding her more annoying this lot.

Never realised there was going t be a season 2. Pre-warned I may give it a miss. We start watching so many on Netflix and end up binning them.
