What cheeses me off

I've just looked into Xero and we are on the plan that provides this service but many will have to upgrade. This still requires a manual processing of approvals and the process itself won't guarantee prompt payments to be made even once the pay 'packet' is done and entered . It's an extra thing to do. And therein lies the issue.
Payroller is another option and handles STP easily. Home

Been using Arlo security cameras for some years. Used to work well but the “development team” have rewritten the app in an incredibly stupid manner. Schedule use to be easy, could add specific custom modes for specific cameras, but, no that was too easy. New app has no custom modes, no easy schedules but now only three modes, Arm Away, Arm Home, Standby and “automations” which are almost incompatible to understand and use.

Netgear used to be ok but this new bunch are just idiots who have screwed a perfectly usable system to one that is almost useless. One can’t believe the App developers have ever used the product,

Time to bin my 7 cameras and annual subscription and move to a new system I believe.

After spending half a day fiddling, I think I’ve got the Arlo system roughly as I want it but I’ll look at these. Ta.

Do they record to the cloud? Yes it seems. And do they have a base station one can put on a seperate hidden network to protect one’s home network? No it seems but probably can connect to private subnet for security.

At the moment I'm a fan of Reolink and Vigi (TP Link), unless you're going into a Synology or QNAP NAS.

We have cloud storage and we were contacted by our regional police station to provide footage of our video between certain hours a few weeks earlier. So, how did they know our mobile and email address and it’s kinda weird they knew we have a fairly discrete camera near our front door.

I have not watched it but apparently Dylan Farrow has made a documentary about this (as it pertains to mobile phones) and its frightening what is known about us.
