CA178, the 1030 from MEL to PEK on Thursday 26 May has been cancelled. With a quick look I could not see whether the inbound flight (from memory CA177) operated.

On Wednesday 1 June, CA177, the 1915 hours from PVG to MEL did not take off until 2018 (A332 B-6091) so should arrive on Thursday 2 June at about 0847, 42 minutes late to a chilly couple of degrees.

lol. I'd consider that 'early' for departures from PVG :)

CA165, the 0105 hours on Friday 3 June from PEK to MEL took off at 0132 which seems more or less 'on time' but will be about 35 minutes late arriving at 1510, with aircraft B-6079, an A332.

On Sunday 19 June 2016, AC176, the 1020 SYD - PVG took off at 1124. A332 B-5933 ought to arrive at 1910 if it was in accord with the timetable but will do so about an hour late.

On Sunday 26 June, CA176, the 1020 hours from SYD to PVG (A332 B-5933) was not airborne until 1255 which will mean a much delayed arrival at about 2225, three hours and 15 minutes late. The plane is currently travelling at an indicated speed of 715 kilometres an hour so there must be a headwind.

CA174, the Tuesday 28 June 1940 hours from SYD to PEK was airborne at 2115. Arrival on Wednesday 29 is expected at 0624, 54 late. B-6101 is the A333.

The Friday 1 July 1915 hours PVG - MEL CA177 (A332 B-6074) was airborne at a very late 2201 so on Saturday 2 July it should arrive at about 1002, 117 minutes behind time.

On Sunday 17 July, CA165 (the 0105 hours PEK - MEL, which took off at 0126 - on time) is arriving at about 37 minutes late at 1507 hours (A332 B-6115).

Monday 14 August 2016 sees CA173, the 0050 hours from PEK to SYD that took off at 0203, arriving at a suggested 1516, 26 minutes late, so it has picked up quite some time. Aircraft is A332 B-6092.

CA178, the 1035 daytime MEl - PVG took off at 1143 and hence will not arrive until around 2105 tonight, 110 minutes late: aircraft is A332 B-6540.

On Sunday 9 October, CA165 (A332 B-6113, 0105 hours from PEK to MEL) took off at 0144.

It should arrive at about 1642 this afternoon, 67 minutes behind time.

On Monday 10 October, CA177, the overnighter from PVG should arrive MEL at about 1006, 61 minutes tardy; aircraft is A332 B-6090.

CA177, the 1915 hours Sunday 16 October PVG - MEL did not take off until 2037. A332 B-5918 should arrive at about 1015 on Monday 17 October, 70 minutes late.

The Friday 21 October CA177 (1915 hours PVG down to MEL) did not take off until 0134 on Saturday 22. Arrival is forecast for 1447 instead of 0905, a delay of 342 minutes. Aircraft is A332 B-6080.

CA175 is badly late with Sunday 23 October arrival into SYD delayed until about 1233 instead of 0910, a 203 minute deficit. A332 B-5918 is the aircraft.

As QF130 is also badly late along with some MU flights, was it fog or simply aircraft congestion either in the air or on the ground (including the military?) that delayed these flights on Saturday evening?

I would have thought fog unlikely? There was an average 47 minute delay on departures from PVG on Sunday evening at around 5.30pm. The TG to BKK was precisely late by that amount of time, but it flies inland towards BKK. The flights to HKG and AU follow the coastal route on leaving PVG which is always one of the worst for delays (HKG in particular)
