Air China Delays/Cancellations

On Thursday 16 February 2017, CA177, the redeye from PVG down to MEL (A332 B-5932) should arrive at around 0950 hours, 50 minutes behind schedule. With the return flight CA738 not timetabled ex MEL until 1200 'high noon', the good news is that this 50 minute delay should - touch wood - still allow for a punctual departure back to mainland China.
 
On Saturday 25 February, CA430 (1435 hours mid afternoon SYD - CTU, A332 B-6081) took off at 1526. Predicted arrival is at about 2318, 43 minutes late.
 
CA177 from PVG to MEL is an expected 80 minutes late on Thursday 16 March with arrival suggested as 1020 hours: aircraft is A332 B-6541. CA178, the scheduled 1135 hours return should be able to depart at or close to time.
 
Saturday 18 March 2017 sees CA429 from CTU to SYD (A332 B-6081) likely to arrive at 1336 hours, 61 minutes tardy. As CA430 is scheduled to return at 1435, expect it to be at least a little late.
 
On Thursday 23 March, CA177 from PVG to MEL (A332 B-6540) should arrive about 48 late at 0948 hours mid morning.
 
On Monday 27 March, the overnight PVG - MEL CA177 with A332 B-5932 should arrive at about 0937 hours, 32 minutes behind schedule.
 
A332 B-6029 on CA429, the 2145 hours Sunday 2 April CTU - SYD that did not take off until 0003 hours on Monday 3 should arrive at roughly 1245 instead of 1025, 140 minutes tardy. As the returning CA430 has a scheduled departure time of 1225, it should be able to push back at about 1400 if all goes acceptably.
 
The Friday 7 April 2017 CA177 (1915 hours early evening PVG - MEL, A332 B-5918) did not take off until a much delayed 2314. Saturday 8 arrival is likely at 1137 instead of 0805 - 212 minutes late. CA178, the return to PVG should in theory be able to push back at around 1250, 135 minutes tardy.
 
On a blustery Monday 10 April that has had a fair bit of rain overnight, A332 B-6540 on the overnight PVG - MEL CA177 should arrive at 0854, 49 minutes late.
 
On Thursday 13 April, CA174, the evening 1940 hours SYD - PEK was not in the sky until 2118 with A333 B-8577. It should arrive on Good Friday (15) at about 0650 hours, 80 minutes late.
 
Saturday 22 April sees B-6541 (A332) on CA177 from PVG down to MEL arriving at about 0923 hours instead of the timetabled 0805.

CA429, the Friday 21 April 2145 hours CTU - SYD took off at 0039 hours on Saturday 22. A332 B-6070 should arrive at 1257, 152 minutes late. AC430, the 1225 hours returning flight ex SYD should, touch wood, be able to commence pushback at roughly 1410.

On Anzac Day (Tuesday 25 April 2017), CA173 (0050 hours PEK - SYD) did not take off until 0229 hours; A333 B-8677 should arrive at around 1537 mid afternoon, 47 minutes behind schedule.
 
CA430 on Thursday 27 April 2017 (A332 B-6070, the 1400 hours SYD - CTU that was in the sky at 1514 hours) should arrive at around 0005 hours on Friday 28, 65 late.

Monday 1 May 2017 sees CA430 (1225 hours SYD - CTU that was in the sky at 1427, A332 B-6070) likely to arrive at 2223 hours this evening, 48 minutes behind the timetable.
 
On a fairly foggy Melbourne morning, CA177 from PVG to MEL is predicted to arrive at about 0851 hours, 46 late with A332 B-6533.
 
Saturday 3 June 2017 has CA177 (the 1915 hours Friday 2 PVG - MEL that did not become airborne until 2213) likely to arrive at 1041, 156 minutes tardy.
 
CA176, the 1020 hours SYD - PVG on Sunday 11 June (A332 B-6092) took off at 1305 with arrival suggested as 2121 hours this evening, 131 late.
 
On Saturday 17 June, CA177 from PVG to MEL (A332 B-6541) is badly late with arrival predicted for 1248 rather than 0805 hours, 283 minutes tardy. As the four days a week CA178 is timetabled to depart MEL at 1035 for the return trip, it will be delayed a minimum of three hours and a bit.
 
Monday 19 June 2017 has CA429, the overnight from CTU down to SYD (A332 B-6071) likely to arrive at 1134, 69 minutes late.

CA173, the scheduled 0050 hours Monday 19 June PEK - SYD (A332 B-6131) did not take off until 0919, which presumably meant a horrid night at Beijing airport for passengers, with SYD arrival likely at 2208 hours instead of 1450 - 438 minutes late.
