Saturday 5 November's strong SYD winds have seen operations restricted to using runway 25 only (westerly departures) for much of the day thus far with significant delays.

NZ104, the 1150 hours SYD - AKL (B772ER ZK-OKD) took off at 1330. Arrival is suggested as 67 minutes behind at 1807 early this evening NZ time.

Especially for leisure travellers, NZ124 from MEL across to AKL is nicely timed - no pre-dawn rising from the Melbourne suburbs, an 1150 hours scheduled departure, lunch on board, B773ER ZK-OKQ operating it on Thursday 10 November and a scheduled arrival at 1725 in time for tea.

However it is a little late, having taken off at 1253 with arrival suggested as 1753, 28 minutes tardy.

Wednesday 28 December has NZ136, the 1120 hours late morning BNE - AKL not having taken off until 1247; arrival of B773ER ZK-OKQ is not expected until about 1848 this evening, 78 minutes behind schedule.

On Thursday 29 December, there were severe storms - tropical in nature - in MEL from around 1500 hours. MEL was a recipient of almost 50 millimetres of rain in an hour and a half.

NZ721 diverted to SYD: A320 ZK-OJE is on its way down to MEL with arrival suggested as about 1915, though it may enter the usual Mt Buller, Victoria holding pattern. It is normally timetabled to arrive in MEL at 1505.

ZK-OJE (A320) should arrive at 0409 on Friday 30 instead of 2155 hours tonight, a deficit of 374 minutes.
