On Friday 16 June, NZ855, the scheduled 0805 hours arrival in MEL ex WLG and the return flight NZ852, the 0915 hours ex MEL have been cancelled. Presumably for the latter passengers might be accommodated on NZ722, the 0840 hours MEL - AKL or NZ898, the 0905 hours MEL - CHC and then in either case a NZ domestic flight to reach WLG, at the cost of greatly increased (more than 50 per cent) travel time gate-to-gate. Annoying!

On Saturday 29 July, the wind she has been a'blowin in MEL with the departure of NZ124 (B773 ZK-OKM, the 1210 hours MEL - AKL) not having resulted in takeoff by 1323, so it should be at least 45 late into the NZ non-capital harbour city.
Wind gusts at MEL were as high as 104kmh at 1100 but have since slightly moderated to 85 - 93kmh. Wind is from the north.

The ongoing lack of aviation fuel continues to plague Air NZ with NZ175 from AKL to PER arriving slightly more than two hours late on Tuesday 19 September as it had to refuel in MEL.
The list of cancellations has increased while AKL - LAX, SFO and YVR flights are among those forced to refuel en route, with AKL - DPS, HKG and NRt flights all refuelling in BNE.
Quite a nice little unexpected earner for Australian capital city airports:
Delays look to be intensifying rather than moderating in AKL. Note the comment in this article about Pacific airports (which I assume means locations such as NAN in Fiji) are also running low on fuel:
