Air Pacific 737 and QFF

The good news is that the F Lounge is open, and also the CX lounge although CX have no formal partnership with FJ AFAIK, but you may be travelling on a OW marketed flight, so would theoretically have access.

It is also possible that they have a contract with the NZ lounge for J pax ex-MEL on the later departures.

Doubt the F would be open. It closes after the last QF flight. And OW access rules need a OW marketed and operated flight. FJ seem to also co-operate with ANZ in NZ re lounge access.

The F lounge is not open, and no OW access as it must be an onward OW marketed and operated flight.

I stand corrected.

I though the F lounge was open for the later CX departure, or has this also been 'enhanced'?

No wonder I fly another carrier to Asia most of the time :rolleyes:

Is that the old RCC?... and UA use the NZ lounge now? right?

Thanks all again for your responses so far.

Last question (maybe) :)

When flying on a QF codeshare on FJ does your QF status show up on your boarding pass like it does on QF?

Just recently qualified for Gold but card hasn't come yet.

Your QF FF number, but not your QF status can show up on the FJ boading pass under "Service Information" QFxx_xx_x

Thanks, hopefully my card comes by then, on the way back I am flying Y so want to access the Nadi AP lounge, and any other benefits that Gold gives me on AP..

No lounge access at all :( checkin lady just told us 'yeah sorry we used to use the Qantas lounge but now we have no lounge options'.
Pretty poor having no options at all on a business ticket, no agreements with other lounges in Mel..

Our lounge today is the general departures area ;p $11 on coffees $4 on water and a delay of 2 hours..

All 3 737's in the fleet have similar seating to Qantas' 738's. Air Pacific has more legroom in Business though.

That's pretty poor...no lounge access for J. Won't be flying with that mob for a while.

Thanks for the info. So the rumour that they let you use the NZ lounge is untrue. :(

Surely if you book through QANTAS on codeshare you would be entitled to use the lounge ? would'nt you ?

Assuming that the lounge is open which I dont think it is at that time of night.

Back home now... Missing Fiji already, that place is paradise! :)

On the way back did a paid upgrade on departure, $400 FJD each. I wonder if I'll get J SC's?

Went straight to the Tabua lounge where there was only basic sandwiches, and drinks, not that I was expecting much.

FJ staff were absolutely amazing and friendly on the way there and back again, just wish their J seats were a bit more comfortable, though with their A330's and flatbeds coming next year hopefully this will improve.

Food was not too bad but not the best J food I've ever had.

As noted earlier in this thread, Menzies who do ground handling in MEL were terrible at best, they seemed confused, rushed(but slow at the same time) and in general inexperienced..you can really feel that the contract with them must be dirt cheap..

Seems good value. I've never got the miles or SCs when I've done this in the past. Did you fly MEL-NAN in J?
