They don't, nor do they care. Separating aircraft is ATC's job. They'll do it with altitude and speed control once you get going.That flight plan must get submitted. So as long as ATC knows when you plan to depart, your route, planned speed and altitude, it is OK. How does a flight crew know whether their flight plan will conflict with another?
