adampenrith, agree, and no I'm not - but I am trying to explain why and listing the delay so prospective travellers can see how an airline copes on a day like this. Some go off blocks earlier than others (due to a multitude of factors).

I was booked to fly AirAsia direct from Narita to Bali in May 2019 - I had paid the big bundle for food and the premium seats. But I got notified that they had cancelled that service.

Which all seemed a tad odd, as the only other airline I could find flying direct was Garuda at more than twice the price.

So I applied for my refund and booked Philippine Airlines to take us there via Manilla. This adds nearly five hours trip time, including three hours waiting at Manilla airport. But on the other hand, with in-flight entertainment on the Philippines flight, it may seem shorter than the AirAsia budget flight.
