Excellent! Hopefully EBD goes in this evening. After EBD would there be any other a330 maintenance required for some time. If not the hooefully double a332 refurbs at the same time in Bris.

Interesting video.. when the FT group did the tour only 18mths ago they were insistent that no-one post any photos/videos of aircraft under maintenance.

Still think this is very good PR for Qantas, appealing to the 'aerosexuals' as Rachel says

FlyerTalk forum. Was part of the 2015 AGM.

Confirmed its VH-EBM and it's a standalone reconfig so taking about 30 days

I think it was live posted... in the latter part she is answering comments that have been posted

hey guys, I don't suppose you can speculate on what business class product i am likely to get on QF6 in Sep, and QF5 in August?

It's mostly a 333 route so very high (as all 333s are refurbed). In the last week it had one 332 service which was also a refurb

If you know potential dates you can use expert flyer (even free version) to check the current seat map

QF5/6 often gets a A332 subbed in, though mostly a refurbed A332. It's the less popular of the two SYD flights and so is far more prone to being subbed.

Let's hope its the refurbed one. I guess I won't know for sure until the day I fly out..

It normally is. For the most part the only international route that regularly sees the two Skybed A330s are HNL. Other than these two they mostly stick to domestic with international A332 ops by refurbished a/c. That said down the back it could be a fixed IFE a/c or a iPad a/c.

Rather than saying subbed in, the A332 is generally the default for QF5/6. 81/82 sees the A332 at some random times as well but that's the rotation you want. No config is guaranteed but the chance of missing out is a lot lower.

can i just say this forum is awesome. The knowledge you guys have absolutely blows my mind. lol.

Fingers crossed it works out on the day.

Anyhow, is there something keeping you from taking 81/82 instead?

I'm going to see if i can change it. Sadly I didn't book my own travel as there was several other countries I'm visiting and its always difficult to book these types of trips online.

Hopefully the travel agent will change it.
