VH-EBV's finally in Sydney and QF571 is now delayed 20 minutes for a 17:50 departure, with what looks to be a very full new Business cabin.

I'm on QF777 on Jan 5, how do I find out if this is VH-EBV, and/or how do I find out what VH-EBV is flying on Jan 5?

Cheers
RB

oh I'm a bit excited now.
On a whim because it's going to be so darn hot tomorrow here in Melbourne I decided to jump on 434 and try the new J suite. Just as I'd used a residual gift voucher credit I had to make the bookings (V class) I realised I'd missed the upgrade request window, but acall to QF got that sorted out and P1 team made it happen really quickly - once I explained the a/c was the new config. Thanks QF I'm looking forward to try out the new suite :)

now, I think row 2 is one of the OK ones for the windows... :)

EBC and EBN are at BNE so one of those I assume.

QPA is almost finished as well and will be the first A333.

EBC is now back in service with no refurb, EBN is also not in BNE for refurb.

EBA will be next refurb due by end of Jan and EBB to follow.

any ideas if they are trying to do a domestic 332 then an int 333 on rotation, or is it more whichever a/c come up for a major maintenance check type thing to get this done?

They are currently doing a domestic 332 and int 333 at the same time. Not sure if that will continue?

The aircraft will be refurbed when they are due for a major check.

aww man I took the chance and failed. 434 tomorrow has been subbed by a 333, and 447 is a normal 332.

Wonder what's happened to EBV? I can't see it currently on MEL-SYD, so perhaps rotated back to PER or something?

EDIT: yes I do... moved to 418..... hmmm

I'd like to cancel my booking but ugh after the trouble gone to. bleh

You could always ring and ask nicely to move flights. Particularly if you explained you were a "plane nerd". :)
