Am I a weirdo? I never use the IFE

Yes I binge on inflight entertainment. Virgin nearly took away the tablets in business!! shocker. But they are back. Caught up on the movie 'the Viceroys house' yesterday. I thought it was going to be rubbish but it was good. About Mountbatten and the partition of India/Pakistan in 1947. What a shocker that was. UK stuffs up again.

Almost always use some form of IFE, be it music or movies, and I would chose a flight which did over one that didn't based solely on that fact.
FWIW, I don't consider been handed an iPad to really be considered IFE, especially in a bulkhead row where there is no holder for it, and thus you can choose to eat lunch, or watch a movie, but not both.

All that said, how someone wants to spend their time on a flight, provided it has no affect on me personally, does not bother me in the slightest.

I rarely use the IFE - just the map. Usually I am quite happy reading my book. Sometimes I will watch a movie, but I have quite a small head, and any of the over-the-head type headphones are huge on me so I have to physically hold them up on my ears or they slip down. Normally too hard, and I don't care enough to bother! I have discovered J & F headphones fit better, or my hubby's Bose headphones if I can wrestled them away from him, or I can grab my iPhone earbuds if I have them with me, but I am mostly happy with my book.

Oh no! I flew to ADL recently and just as the wheels hit the tarmac, the credits on the movie I was watching started to roll. Thankfully too as it was a short taxi to the terminal!

Recently flew MNL-SYD on a QF A330-200. Compared to the last few flights on CX A350 and QF A330-300 the IFE of the 332 was rubbish and hard to use, small screen and poor relative picture quality.

I read a book and slept. A thoroughly enjoyable flight and didn't miss the IFE at all.
