No bonus points for you unfortunately then

Hi guys,

For the explorer card do you still get the bonus points if you already own AMEX cards? I have the Discovery and the Essential cards already?

Thanks

No.

However, the DJ AMEX card has had its offer upped to 50k MR points and you are eligible for the points unless you've held a DJ AMEX card within the last 18mths. Non-DJ AMEX cards don't preclude you from the sign-up bonus.

Unless your ongoing spend is >70k per year I personally would get the DJ card, then cancel everything once the points hit and commence the 18mth holiday. Churn the big 4 cards in that time, then start again with AMEX.

Thanks,

I used your link for the DJ Amex

What do you mean by Churn the big 4 cards?

Thanks.

I mean the big 4 bank cards for their QFF or VA points cards. ANZ black 75k QFF for $0 first year annual fee is a great start.

A big thank you to the AFFer who used my referral link. Very much appreciated and a helpful contribution to seeing my LDGF.

This is an excellent card for everyday spend, especially when you're getting $400 travel credit for your $395 annual fee.

The current promotion (until September 28) is 100,000 bonus points for you once you've spent $1,500 within the first three months. I'll receive 30,000 points.

Here's my referral link again if anyone else would be so kind to use it: http://amex.com.au/refer/lukefDe0H

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

You'll be awarded 100,000 Gateway points after your first $1500 spend within first 3 months.

This credit card comes with $400 travel credit P.A which offsets the $395 annual fee, and makes this credit card basically a free annual fee card. It also comes with smartphone screen insurance, purchase protection insurance & travel insurance, in addition you get 2 x free lounge access to Sydney American Express every year.

It would be greatly appreciated if you apply via this link, this would make my euro trip dream come a lot sooner.

Please do make sure that your account is link to gateway rewards before using this card (e.g., if it is linked to ascent rewards, you will have to call amex and re-link to gateway before you can get the bonus points), I'll receive 30,000 rewards points for this referral.

Happy to answer all amex related queries, cheers.

Would like to add my referral link to the thread as well.

It would be amazing for anyone applying to use my link and help me build up my points balance. Unfortunately I did not get the 100,000 point myself due to holding an amex recently but did ensure I used a referral to apply.

You will be awarded 100,000 Membership Rewards points if you apply and are approved by 28 September 2017 and spend $1,500 in their first 3 months of holding the card.

This credit card comes with $395 annual fee however this is offset by a $400 travel credit to be used through amex travel. The card also comes with smartphone screen insurance, travel insurance and 2x free lounge access to Sydney American Express every year.

If you do use my link and are successful, then I will receive 30,000 bonus points for the referral. I hope to use the points for a bucket list ski trip to Japan so every little bit helps :D

Stay classy AFFers!

Hi fellow AFF's, I'm throwing my referral link out there for my favourite card.

American Express Explorer - Referal link

You receive the 100,000 Membership Reward points after spending $1,500 in three months. The card costs $395, but you get a $400 Amex travel credit which can be used on flights/accommodation. The card also comes with a 0% Balance Transfer offer for 12 months at the moment

For me though, one of it's biggest draw cards is smartphone screen insurance. Buy your phone outright with the card, or pay your postpaid account for three months, and you're covered for two cracked screens a year. Claims are limited to $500 each, with a 10% excess

A nice surprise today when I logged in to see if all my offers had disappeared as others have experienced- many thanks to whomever used my referral link.

I am about 20 to 25 days away from booking my first suites experience planned for Sep/Nov '18

This card is still available with an excellent 100k points bonus on sign up after $1,500 spend in 3 months - here's my link if anyone is looking to apply. I'm chasing enough points for a first time CX first class experience with the +1...

For me, this is the best card I have at the moment. 2 points per $, local champion booster, regular offers and statement credits, $400 travel credit (offsets annual fee), apple pay and insurances. MR transfer to a lot of partners so great flexibility.

Annual fee is $395, and I get 30k points for the referral. Please note that referral bonuses only apply if you haven't held an amex issued card for 18 months.

This card is assessed on joint family income so makes it easier to obtain. When I took out this card through an AFF members link, I then immediately referred the +1 for an extra 100k + 30k. Current offer requires approval by 28th September, so now is the time to apply!

Thought I put my link in here and let everyone know about the success I've had with this card. Not only do you get the 100k Gateway Rewards points BUT along the way you get additional points for adding supplementary card holders promo (usually 5k) and cashback on spend.

Things that I have gotten cashback on are BP fuel, Woolworths, Coles, Myer those are just a few. The annual fee may seem like a lot but is offset by the $400 travel credit which you can use for flights, hotels, car hire and experiences.

Below is my referral should you wish to apply for this card and unlock all it's benefits.

Is my wife able to apply and receive the sign on bonus if she is a supplementary cardholder on my account? She isn't a card carrying AMEX account holder in her own right?

Yes she should be eligible for sign-on bonus. My other half had supp card on my account and got points

Only Today and Tomorrow left to apply before missing out on this great 100k bonus point offer!

Sign-up here before the bonus is reduced again, with no telling when (or if) it will be back.

I get 20k bonus points for your successful application.

So after having our points well and truly drained after booking a trip to Europe for Mrs No Name's 40th the hunt is on for more points to fund her now well and truly acquired taste for premium class travel. I have been instructed to pursue all avenues and so I present to you the final throw of the dice for what is a fantastic AMEX offer and what would be a much appreciated referral bonus should anyone be kind enough to use my link for a last minute application:

The AMEX Explorer Card is quite simply the best card on the market and with the big sign up bonus being back, what better time than right now to apply! Sign up using a referral link, and you'll earn 100,000 points (as a referrer, I'll earn 30,000 points for each referral made).

My referral link can be found HERE

Details are: Receive 100,000 Membership Rewards® Bonus Points when you apply online by 28 September 2017, are approved and spend $1,500 on your Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership. Card comes with a $395 annual fee.
Other key highlights:

· $400 travel credit for American Express Travel (book flights, car hire and hotels online - I've found AMEX competitive when compared to other major online travel booking engines) - (offsets the $395 annual fee)
· The usual suite of insurances are provided, including Smartphone Screen Insurance when you pay for your phone / contract with AMEX (for up to $500 repairs).
· 2 x invites to the AMEX Sydney International lounge are also on offer.

I signed up to this card back in January and it has been nothing short of fantastic. I’m not a big spender by any means but with an earn on spend of 2pts per $ on almost everything I’ve seen my points balance increase at a pretty quick pace. Add in the $400 travel credit which more than offsets the annual fee and the continuous stream of AMEX promotions (including the soon to return Shop Small) and this becomes a no brainer.

As I said, this is quite simply the best card on the market!

Thank you in advance for helping me keep Mrs NoName satisfied in the aeroplane!
