... Eligible for SC's I mean....
Don't believe so. They aren't Velocity award flights.
... Eligible for SC's I mean....
With the new upgrades to the Virgin booking system (Travel Bank), has anyone tried to see if the upgrade process is easier?
mine wasn't*bump* Has anybody tried yet post Sabre install...is the credit put into the travel bank?
mine wasn't
Keen to hear recent experiences.
I wish to book a SYD-MEL, would be good to reissue if the credits still work.
Just booked my free flight and was advised once its ticketed, to call back the following day to pay a $87 + fare difference fee to upgrade to flexi.
Will post outcome tomorrow as I want to use my comp upgrade and get some SC on my trip to MEL.
Hey,
Wow what a confusing process. Booked the free flight. Cancelled into a credit shell. Had to pay 107 and fare difference.
All in all I paid 120 for a 1 way flexi after fare difference and fees.
Had to pay 107
Its 80 cancel or 60 change fee (from virgin) and 27 fee from amex travel. I was told you cant use use the credit shell and only amex can (by amex)
How did you get the credit shell info? I was told the same thing as vitagenNever believe everything you hear ;-)
If you're forced to rebook through Amex they have some gall charging for it. In my opinion anyway. Its 80 cancel or 60 change fee (from virgin) and 27 fee from amex travel. I was told you cant use use the credit shell and only amex can (by amex)

thanks, I tried using the VA booking reference - but the GCC couldn't locate that booking reference anywhere in their system - though it had previously been there as it was created and showed the VA 'Manage My Bookings' on the website. Still has a credit with AMEX travel, oh well. The credit is held under the usual reference number that Virgin uses for such a thing.
