AMEX Life Insurance - 20k pt Bonus

I am planning to cancel my life insurance in the near future (I paid for an annual premium in July 2017)
So, just to double check, in the cancellation letter, i need to include my name, policy no, date of birth, signature, and that's it ?

There appears to have been an update to the requirements to cancel these policies. I was able to belatedly cancel my two policies over the phone a few days ago. I asked specifically about there being a requirement to cancel in writing and the person I spoke to said this is no longer the case.

I complained to the ombudsman about this and other issues.

I just cancelled over the phone. Super easy. They must definitely have changed their cancellation policy.

As a healthy 19 year old cough cough, best I could get was an annual cost of $78, which at 5k in points is not exceptional, only good value if you actually need the cover. Have not read the T&C's but might only need to pay in for a certain period i.e 3-6 months.
