Question for the experts here: if you’ve signed up one of your family members for a supp card, but they never activated it. Does that still count in your to your limit of 4 free supp cards?

When I've done in the past I did nothing with my supp cards and received points, however systems are updated regularly and if it is a bug could be fixed now.

The Amex Edge and Explorer cards allow for 4 free additional card holders each. Anyone have experience in getting more than 4 additional cards for these cards? Or is 4 the absolute hard limit?!

and successfully added the daughter as an additional on all 3 cards

Now to wait 8-10 weeks for the points

I have had it a little while, but it would have been added on a deal similar to the current one.

It probably was by calling as there is a typo in the name

Rang Amex but was told I already had 4 additional cards so could not add any more even if I was willing to pay. I could submit an application online, I guess, but I suspect that will be rejected

Wait 1 week.

Supp card approved. No other documents required.

Careful with that approach Ralph. I had multiple cards in my name on my Explorer (to exploit Shop Small and other Offers) and was abruptly informed one day to cancel them all or we will close your account.

The T&Cs do not permit more than one in your name, including variations like first initial, inc/ex middle name to. I created them at different times so as to not trigger any alerts.
