Amex Platinum $200 "Dining credit" towards a list of Global Restaurants

I realised I've never used this despite many years of Charge Card membership.

We just recently ate at Gimlet, Nomad and Kisume. lol - could have saved $200.
well what card did you use to pay?

This benefit doesn't require activation so if you used your charge card, you would have gotten the credit.

Actually I checked - you do need to subscribe to it. I hadn’t click on the button - I have now. I always use the Amex as the first preference.

Yep, Pocket Concierge handles all the Japan options. Anything listed on the site will trigger the credit.

You preselect your courses and pay up front - these get charged once the restaurant verifies the reservation.

You can then order additional items on the day (drinks etc) which also get charged back to you via Pocket Concierge after the visit. These charges are also eligible for the dining credit IME. In effect you can use two year's worth of credits on one visit.

I've visited 4 restaurants booked through Pocket Concierge and they've all been well equipped for non Japanese speakers.
Would a booking made for someone else through Pocket Concierge still trigger the credit?

Yes I've eaten in the Botswana butchery but in Melbourne and Queenstown. They were very good but recently closed down in Melbourne, so if you're looking at a voucher, use it quick!
