AMEX platinum Accor plus reinstated

Interesting as it had felt more and more 'under the counter' of late

I think it was a necessary move on their behalf given the increase in annual fee. Some cardholders may not have been aware of the benefit and could justify the previous $1,200 annual fee, however with the fee now up to $1,450 that may have been the breaking point for some and the reminder of that companion card was a 'necessary evil'.

For those retaining Accor Plat by renewing annually direct with Accor - if you sign up for the AMEX free Accor plus you will get soft landing back from Plat to Gold rather than back to Silver - but Gold goes not deliver Exec Lounge access nor free breakfast - totally useless for me - obviously YMMV and you will need to assess AMEX Plat card value with this fee increase.

Received my Accor Plus welcome email today (Im a previous Accor member but never A+). Says physical card will come 2-3 weeks

Still waiting for A+... (no previous Accor relationship)

Only want it to book the free night before everybody else, effectively useless otherwise...

Just got AFR but still waiting for Accor+, for those who received Accor+ were you a new Accor member or have an existing account?

New member.

When does the free night benefit kick in? When I tried a dummy booking it said I didn't have a stayplus benefit available.

Anyone seeing the free night online yet?

I got mine straight away when I created my account. When I log in and go to "My profile" (the page where you see your card and status), under the "Find a Hotel" section there is "Use my Stay Plus benefit for this reservation" and you have to turn that to "Yes" I think to see it in the hotel search.

It is now the tenth business day Accor.

Not the best way to introduce yourself to a new customer...

Thanks, that's where I'm looking, but no sign of it yet.

Received Accor+ today, hooray. Now to wait for the Stay Plus hotel night to become available

My Stayplus benefit now shows up in my account (created last Friday).

Had a quick browse of Sydney hotels and looks like the Sofitel Darling Harbour is going to be difficult to book with availability pretty woeful (although helpfully they had availability for a stay tonight ).

Searched Bangkok in December which shows a lot more availability including the Sofitels/Pullmans.

Just got email confirmation for my A+. :)

Where should I go to check the Stay Plus benefit, accorplus or leclub?
In accorplus website, I clicked: my name -> my profile -> dashboard, I can see my card and status on this page, and on top of the card, there is a Find a Hotel section, not seeing "Use my Stay Plus benefit for this reservation".

Did I missed anything here? Thanks.
