AmEx Platinum Card: 325,000 Bonus Points (Spend $5000 in 3 Months), $450 Travel Credit, $400 Dining Credit, $1450 Annual Fee

Does anyone happen to have any experience with applying for another Amex soon after getting the Platinum Charge card? I will likely be cancelling the charge card as soon as the bonus points hit but prefer not to have to transfer them out until some point in the future when there is a Marriott transfer bonus. Was thinking either the Explorer or Platinum edge for the lowest possible limit (which I think would be $2k?). Assuming either of these cards would earn point to the same pool as the charge card? Understand that the 2nd card won’t earn a sign up bonus and that’s fine.

Are the bonus points alone worth paying for the annual fee? Or will you be using the credits before you cancel it?

I will be using as many of the credits and benefits as possible prior to cancelling. I’d look to apply for the other Amex probably 2 weeks after activating the charge card.

Mine is also 275,000 referral for charge and I get 80k.. not bad. If anyone is still after a link, i'd greatly appreciate it.Screenshot 2024-01-19 at 8.54.59 pm.png

I have the 275k link but am keeping it for family and friends, as per T's and C's.
Having said that, anyone with more than 1000 posts on this site, is an old friend.

I can see an offer for 275,000 points in my account too. I use Chrome (not sure if it makes a difference).

iOS app / Mac Safari / Mac Chrome all give me 200 for a friend / 75 for me referrals

If anyone would like to PM their 275k link I'd appreciate it!

Thanks to those who sent me a link!
