I've just got off the phone about these points. I was told that they post 8 weeks after the end of the first 2 months. Another variation, but depending on how that works anyone who got the card in Jan is probably still within the 8 weeks. I'm over the time period just and they sent off an email to admin or something.

BTW I have seen an advert on facebook for this same promo with a new set of dates. I think apply by end of march or April.

Just spoke with Ben at Amex Melbourne who was very helpful and apologetic. Noted that I had spoke with someone else about the issue previously. Also confirmed I am elgigble for bonus points and there should not be such a delay.

Has been sent to the marketing team but did say it can take up to 6 weeks for the team to look at it. So perhaps another 6 week wait?

I think I spoke to the same guy this morning in Melbourne, got the same spiel, I'm hoping once it's escalated the points will just come through, I'm guessing the quote of 6 weeks is to lower expectations

Quite possibly.. he definitely wasn't shocked that the points had posted. i'm also hoping the 6 weeks is to just give them some leeway.

Interesting, I spoke to them today and got told I was eligible and they should have posted by now. She sent a message to the marketing department and said I should hear back from them in 5 days time.

I gotta wait at least 2 more months then I joined and spent my first $500 in the first week of January.

Just spoke to someone (Karen?) she never wanted to listen what I have to say or deal's T&Cs and kept repeating points will be awarded within 6-8 weeks after my first 2 months (promotion period) ended. And she said I shouldn't count easter break in that 6-8 weeks. Oh she was an interesting chracter!

Offer now only 15K points but extended to September. However the Reserve now has a bonus 30K points so for me I think the slightly better card, has anyone else done a comparison of the two?

I notice the offer is for 15000 joining bonus and is valid until Sept 11.

I think I'll be downgrading to this when my annual fee is due, there doesn't seem to be much point paying $395 per year for a couple of lounge entries.

With my renewal on the Reserve C/C ending in a week, I was thinking about downgrading to this also (I don't really have too much of a need for it anymore, I get unlimited Priority Pass entries on my UK Plat Charge Card as opposed to the 2 entries this PP membership gives). Was this an easy process to do?

FWIW, I received a call from AMEX yesterday offering me the AMEX Platinum Edge Card......Annual fee free for life. I accepted.

I've been using the standard green AMEX card for a long time (which does have an annual fee) - maybe that was the basis for their discounted offer? Who knows.
