I am travelling Europe atm (courtesy of points) and just logged in to get mail when the post came up so sent a short pm to OP and then a post to register my interest. OP is still to get in touch so will wait and see. Having a ball btw. Weather very cold at night but around 20C by midday with cloudless skies.

Is this still working for anyone, I always get the facebook only thing, I have a friend who wants a referral but hates facebook...

I've done it via Facebook before to someone who doesn't have an account. You can send to an email that doesn't have an account from the Facebook enter recipient thing.
