I am now home and confirm that there was a postcard via mail and that the +2 points are posting (correctly) via the Platinum Credit Card.

Yep, my Plat Credit Card hasn't been targetted - only my Gold Credit Card.

So I have 3 points / $ on Gold and 1.5 points/$ on Plat.

Looks like my Gold card will get a workout over the next few weeks...

I have done a test purchase on both of my cards. The one from my Gold Credit has posted, and the one from my Plat Amex is yet to post.

The Gold Amex transaction credited at 3 points/$, with the annotation:
+2 Points Membership Rewards Bonus

So maybe that's the only card of mine that has been targeted?

I only get this promo on my platinum credit card. Gold charge card gets nothing (well, I get another promo on gold charge card.

You sure? Can you check again?

Yes I'm sure. The only thing that might have affected things is that the purchase on Plat Credit was in UK Pounds, and the purchase on the Gold Credit was in AUD. But I still haven't seen my postcard (not surprising as any mail sent to my Australian address does take +5 to 7 days, and doesn't even go to my home address in the UK. I haven't collected my mail for a few weeks!)

No wonder. Because the postcard says credit card. I thought you got a gold charge card as part of platinum credit card.

I read my postcard today, and nowhere on it (that I can easily see) does it say which one of my credit cards has been targetted for the promo.

I know it's my Gold CC via test purchases with both my Plat CC and Gold CC, but would have been much nicer if Amex spelt it out on the postcard.

Perhaps they operate on the assumption that most people have only 1 AMEX
