Amex travel insurance

Hi,

Seeking clarification.
If I bought flights using my amex card would the included insurance cover a cruise we are taking during our trip?

I just realised that we didn't pay the cruise via amex (ironically to avoid fees) so now I'm worried we are not covered?

Hoping someone here can save me a phone call to AMEX.

Read the PDS, don't trust a random on a forum.

(But if you're going to trust a random on a forum, you'll need to be more specific about which Amex card you hold)

It's a bit ambiguous as it says I need a paid flight or cruise to be eligible but not sure if qualifying for the flight also would cover the cruise.

I've got the Qantas ultimate AMEX card.

I'll give their customer service a call but just thought I would check if anyone had any similar experiences.

Also .. is it a river cruise or an ocean cruise?

It's an ocean cruise (Royal Caribbean).
Does the type of cruise make a difference?
