ANA partnership with Virgin Australia

Did you get your miles/SC? Still nothing for me despite seeming to add VFF details successfully to ANA booking end of July. Going through retro claim, but not expecting quick resolution.
Did your BP have any indication your VFF number was accepted by the system? Mine was automatically credited.

So much promise, but as of now, nothing.
Not confidence building.
If I had to fly to Japan, and wanted the full experience, not VAi LCC via CNS, I would have entered my (or your) SQ KF
#.
Then transfer the points to VFF/

I had that originally but switched as needed the SC for Virgin. Hopefully it will eventually come through.

Hi does anyone know if there will be lounge access for VA gold flying NH domestic?

Has anyone been able to book internal ANA domestic flights through VA's call center or website? I'm currently VA gold, but dunno whether to use the ANA-VA benefits and pay cash for the flights or use JAL and my QF points.

If you don't get a reply from those on here, maybe they have not done the dom NH booking via the VA call centre either, or call center, just to be safe, would be to fly JL and put in your QFF points.
At the least you will earn some QFF points and some small amount of QF SC, rather than nothing under this "who knows" NH & VA liaison tie in.

VA will not sell NH domestic flights standalone...only in conjunction with an itinerary that originates in Australia.

As a skier, the increased baggage allowance would be my number one

Same, and in fact I've just booked Y for late Jan early Feb. Will be first time back on the planks since I blew my ACL three years ago at Myoko. My SG will expire in late Feb, so it's a bit of a last blast on the luggage I guess. Anyone know if seat selection is possible?

Yep, that seems safer. Still no points or SC for my domestic ANA flight, despite escalation.

I thought the big news in that mail out was the ability to use velocity points to book ANA flights, albeit via the call centre. Not sure if you could do this before. Would be good if the points required were published somewhere.

Yes, they really buried the lede on this one.

They're on the top partner table, with United and Virgin Atlantic. Notably the email mentions that First awards are available on ANA but that table doesn't include a First level (since UA and VS don't have it).

What's the best way to search for ANA award seats that would be bookable via Virgin?

I looked on the VA web site and my wished-for route ICN-KIX isn't there (ANA fly it - 3 x daily).

Called the contact centre, said they couldn't offer it - not all routes available; if it doesn't come up on the web site, they can't book it with points.

Sorta fair enough, I guess.

May be available on Aeroplan, but would need Aeroplan points to book. (bit off topic, sorry)
