And someone likely loses their job whether the two players pay or not as it still hits the soft cap. Given Richmond is one of the giant clubs with masses of back office staff it could be anyone, not just a coach.
Doubt it - we still have 6 weeks or so to go, including the Brownlow.Hopefully, this latest incident will be the end of AFL player nonsense in QLD.
Yes. 20-year old boys. Then pay them as "boys", not as men. What's a fair price $15/hr?
Sounds easy but most of the big earners are on multiple year contracts that has been factored in to not only this years cap but future caps so to tear up contracts and re-negotiate has ramifications especially as the soft cap is set to be reduced next year. It works out to approximately 3% of the current soft cap so most likely that 1 or 2 staff might have to move on which usually happens through natural attrition at most clubsWith the soft cap, in this case, it could just as easily be distributed between the big earners taking a small cut and no one would be forced to leave.

Yes. But big earners are more likely to be smart enough to follow the rules.Sounds easy but most of the big earners are on multiple year contracts that has been factored in to not only this years cap but future caps so to tear up contracts and re-negotiate has ramifications especially as the soft cap is set to be reduced next year. Is that a skilled up toddler or one as unskilled labourer.Yes. 20-year old boys.
What’s the toddler rate by the way?
Apparently the club getting the players to pay the fine is not allowed as part of the code of conduct agreement reached between league officials and the AFLPA.
Ah, like the Captain Cochin? His wife anyway.Yes. But big earners are more likely to be smart enough to follow the rules.
By that I mean every year dozens of staff from each club move to other clubs or jobs outside the industry so there will be positions that either won’t be filled or perhaps part time only. There is plenty of wastage amongst football clubs so I’m sure they can cover itNot sure about natural attrition being used in covering foolish players.
Yes, but who is going to argue with the wife. Him, not.... Ah, like the Captain Cochin? His wife anyway.
Yes, well maybe. However, I’m not privy to that sort of information.By that I mean every year dozens of staff from each club move to other clubs or jobs outside the industry so there will be positions that either won’t be filled or perhaps part time only. I have had plenty of experience around state based football clubs and have even done some work on a short term contract with a Melbourne based AFL club and you get a bit of an insight into how most operate. They do have a lot of people on part time and short contract such as specialist coaches, psychologists, etc so it just mean that that the ex player who spends 2 days a week at the club teaching tackling only comes in 1 day a week that sort of thing. A lot of these types work at multiple clubs so if their hours are cut at one they can get more at another.Yes, well maybe. However, I’m not privy to that sort of information.
... and watch this space.Yep my foofoo valve is getting another work out. So predictable that things like this would happen, but still makes me shake my head. The emotion I feel now is more despair than anger

Nothing specific.??? @DC3 ??? not following your meaning
... just AFL in general? There are some nasty rumours floating around but not directly COVID related.
Yeah thanks, I understood to pay attention, but I did not know what you were suggesting I should pay attention to . However, with hint from @Pushka, I'm going to follow the news of footballers' exploits quite closely to see what you are hinting at....Nothing specific.
From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English watch this space ... used to tell people to pay attention in the future because things are going to develop further ....
If you are referring to the Sydney Swans player that is being reported quite openly online... and watch this space.
