Angry about proposed travel ban exemption for footballers

The Netballers did though.

MEET THE BABY LIVING IN THE NETBALL BUBBLE
Little Giant Clay Brandley is stealing the show this Super Netball season. The six-month-old is the only child in the Queensland bubble, as mum April Brandley learns how to juggle her career with motherhood in these extraordinary times.
Yes. What a diference. Mummy dealing with a newborn and playing professional sport. Versus, well, WAGS needing spas, babysitters amd swimming coaches and players needing strip clubs and the like.

AFL "star" back in the news

Sydney Swans player Elijah Taylor charged with aggravated assault of woman in hotel

Another QLD quarantine breach at the football party house, this time NRL...

But he's really shattered and sorry....

Storm player forced to undergo COVID-19 testing after QLD quarantine breach

Origin prop Christian Welch has apologised after inviting a guest into the NRL bubble on Thursday night.

Welch was stood down on Friday and is set to be fined by the NRL for breaching the game's strict biosecurity rules after bringing an "unregistered" guest into the Storm's Sunshine Coast bubble.

Melbourne were set to be freed from quarantine after midnight on Friday after spending 14 days in Queensland, but the guest arrived prior to midnight and therefore was in breach of the COVID-19 protocols.

“I’m incredibly remorseful and sorry for my actions," he said in a statement released by the club. “I love this game and everything it has given me and I’m shattered that I have let everyone down.

The only surprising thing is that its been 4 whole days since the last media report of a new incident.

They must be slipping up and not finding out about all the incidents.

They are so remorseful for breaching the iso rules and for letting down the team/family/fans/etc. But only after being caught out. 😉

But QLD CHO Dr Young gave them a covid safe plan and they paid lots of money why aren't they safe? ;)

The youngans are risk takers. Then, they have the repercussions to deal with. 😅.
Anyway, the club marketing / communications dept wrote that, ‘I am so sorry for stuffing everything and everybody up’.

...that he got caught.

The youth of the people getting Covid is a theory why the death rate is significantly reduced from the first wave.

And I read something about Current high rates in the 20-30yo and 30-40yo age groups in the USA, diagnosed with COVID. Totally out of proportion with other age groups. Not deaths, but infections.

It does seem like a fixation now on infections but not outcomes.

The AFL and Qld Govt have been appalling and unseemly throughout this entire episode.

The quarantine ‘bubble’ to allow some ‘workers’ (not just footballers and their significant others) into the state whilst denying access for people to see dying relatives is appalling and in no way proportionate to health risk.
Here is my solution
Any team member who breaks quarantine (because we have seen in the case of the girl denied funeral access it is such a health risk to the fair state of Qld) means entire team disqualified for the year.
As for the QLD chief medical officer please stick to your area of expertise (medicine not economics and definitely not politics) ... and no I do NOT condone any form of trolling and am also a medical specialist ..
I’ll will spend my money - when I can - travelling to Europe before I will spend a cent in Qld.. now for the pile - on🤣🤣

We are talking to the wrong people, here. How many pollies/government authorities are following AFF?

However, AFF is good for letting off steam. 😀

Hey I live in QLD and have to stomach these ‘leaders’ representing us. I go from being horrified to deeply embarrassed to furious every time Dr Young speaks.

Just so disappointing all of this tolerance of this behaviour, special exemptions for the rich and famous footy players and celebs but tough luck if you want to get emergency specialist treatment for your kid or see a dying family member.

Careful you don’t stray into politics. 😋

Right on cue. Wonder how many more alleged breaches will get reported as Mad Monday approaches/has come for more than half the AFL competition

But the QLD CHO wrote a covid safe plan, nothing to see here! 😂
