If I have a voucher from a cancelled flight (which is currently booked), I gather I can use that and it falls into the category of a new booking. I'm trying to work out if it is worth it, as there will be a pretty hefty cancellation fee. It would certainly help me re-qual for WP. MEL-SYD-HKG return in J. Extra 160 SC's.

You would literally need a new booking to be created for it to count for this promotion.

If the booking retains the original booking date then it shouldn't count towards the bonus SCs.

I received this, can't recall ever receiving targeted offers before. Not too fussed about it as I am already on track for WP requal. Oh well, I suppose I should be grateful that QFF actually shown me some love.

Mr jojen received the offer. He only needs 115 status credits to achieve Platinum.

At the moment flying return SYD - CBR in J seems to be the best. Does anyone else have a better suggestion ?

Got this, and had a careful look at the T&C. They are obviously intended to mean that only new bookings made during the period and after registering will gain the bonus SC, but the conditions don't actually say that

Anyone with existing bookings and time on their hands may like to get pedantic and argue for eligibility providing they follow the actual requirements.

1. Must register in the period. Easy to do.

2. Make a booking in the period for travel in the period. Also follows what you would expect, and requires a new booking, so would seem to be what QF are trying to achieve - new bookings

3. For your existing bookings for travel in the period, why are they now not eligible? The eligibility criteria are expressed as

a) For the member targeted only
b) Only where SC normally earned
c) Only the first SC offer will apply
d) Flight in the period 14 Oct to 28 Feb is not defined in the fine print - excepting the booking in the period for travel in the period requirement in point 2 above, but the Point 2 in the actual offer does define the bonus SC being for flights in the period, so that would limit it.

I don't really fancy chances if success here, but the T&C taken literally would make existing bookings eligible as long as one additional new booking meeting the criteria is also made. As meeting this criteria would provide a benefit to QF (albeit not large as probably intended), it would be harder for them to argue the conditions were clearly wrong.
