Not complaining at all, but another round of double status credits already? I've already re-qualified platinum for the year so I'm not sure on their motivation behind this other than just keeping me very happy!

Is it targeted or is it for everyone?

Just received this a few minutes ago:

For a limited time only, you can earn double Status Credits^ when you fly with Virgin Australia so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of Platinum. Simply book and fly between 27 March and 30 June 2012.

Targetted I think.

[TD]Dear kpc,

As a Platinum member, we know you appreciate the small things that make flying effortless and special.

Perhaps it's relaxing before your flight in one of over 150 lounges worldwide, or avoiding the hustle and bustle of Sydney Airport with direct kerbside check-in and lounge access.*

Must be Plenty of Status Matched folk who need a leg up to stay in the Elite tiers

do they usual check booking dates? I have some flights for that time period that have been booked prior to the 27th March (obviously since tomorrow's the 27th :D) ...

You must all be more important to VA than me - my message has a subject line of "Earn Double Credits on Virgin Australia Flights" and reads, in entirety:

"Dear Mr Fruitcake

Yours Sincerely,
Phil Gunter"

I assumed details were included in a graphic of some sort but even clicking through to the web hosted version of the e-mail gives the same result!

DJ have been data mining you and have assessed that you like to keep things brief! Either that or you have a no conditions no timeframe double credits offer!

I got the email (although half the content was missing so didn't know the dates - can't believe it's >3 months!)

Strange that I got it, because:
1. I wasn't a status match (it was bum in seat flying that got me platinum)
2. I have requalified for Platinum already, 2 months ago
3. I've managed to get my Partner to requalify for Platinum as well through family pooling over the last 2 months
4. I don't really need any status credits at all until my year resets in September!

Quite possibly this will mean I will get partner gold (or even platinum) but don't have anyone to give it to as my partner is already requalified for platinum through pooling! Wish there was the ability to carry SCs over to the next year!

No offer here, though I already have enough flights booked in that period that I'll tick over and renew platinum by April 15th so no great loss. I'd rather have double points!

I like that second option! I got the same email with no content!

I got the email, full of glorious detail. Curiously enough, I read as I disembarked from my DJ re qualifying for platinum flight. Now I am a real Platinum!

I feel special.

Is it targeted or is it for everyone?

Think it's targeted - just noticed "This offer is available to Velocity members who have received this email only." at the bottom of my email.

I have a flight already booked for next week, will be interesting to see if I score double SC on it considering it was booked prior to 27th March.

Does anyone know if this is offer is only being extended to selected Plat or should all Plat be receiving an email?

I have received nothing as yet...

It looks targeted, here's some text from the email:
"^This offer is available to Velocity members who have received this email only. To earn double Status Credits, members must book and fly on a Virgin Australia marketed and operated flight between 27 March and 30 June 2012 inclusive. This offer is strictly non-transferrable."

Firstly - I'm a matched WP, 70 credits away from requal due September.... so not sure why I got it...

Second - does anyone know from previous double status credit promos, if I pool them to the SO, do double get pooled or only if I keep them?

thanks

Both I (Platinum status matched) and Mrs Aus ATC (QF Partner Gold status matched) received the offer. I would be qualifying (can hardly say requalifying can I !!) in my own right in the next month anyway (September anniversary), so will probably use family pooling to see if Mrs Aus ATC can retain her Gold for another 12 months - not that she flies enough to really benefit (mostly she flies with me on the rare occasion).

Won't argue with the promotion though - but I have just started a new year with QF so trying to fly with them at the moment. (I don't generally get to choose who I fly with due BFOD policy).

Got the email also and was readable. I will re qualify for platinum with a flight to Perth tomorrow with other flights already booked for the rest of the week so don't think it is targeted except for the criteria of being platinum.
