Another double SC promo already?

VA flight numbers should count as the T&Cs say "Virgin Australia operated flights" which are both DJ and VA.

I'm not so sure, if you go to the booking engine on their site and run up PER-SYD-LAX, the PER-SYD flight says "Operated by Virgin Australia" but the SYD-LAX says "Operated by Virgin Australia International".

I wonder if their targetting is aimed at pushing additional traffic onto specific routes.

It'd be nice if I got it, and it was retrospective... but maybe thats asking too much.

Double SC on my upcoming USA trip would push me through to Plat.

I'm in a situation similar to several other posters, having been matched DJ Plat, and with points yet to post that will get me over the "retain" line, way before my September review date.

However, my momentary enthusiasm at the prospect of double SCs on flights I was about to book for Europe vanished when I realised that those flights, no matter what the codes, won't meet the criterion of "marketed and operated".

Drat! Could have been 800 SCs on each of two return flights - and Partner Gold at that.
Ah well, back to the search for QF ASAs?

BTW, my partner, also DJ Plat, didn't receive the offer. Not too many SCs in his account to date though, so - as someone said earlier - seems to be directed at Plats who either have or are about to requalify.

Not all, from what I can tell only got sent to gold and Plats, no Silver scrubs like me seem to of gotten it! Other than that, must of beena bit of a lottery system maybe.

Just got mine - I'm Plat with over 2,500 status credits this "year". Already made renewal.

Just booked a flight yesterday for travel next week. I wonder if I'll get double SC's? Being on a Flexi fare I could cancel and rebook using the credit I guess.

After reading the thread it seems this offer is targeted at those who will definitly requalify anyway. Which means the offer doesn't actually cost Virgin anything but it makes them look good. Let's face it, its all about marketing.

I am a BIS Platinum and expect to requalify without any problems but looking at my current status it could go either way, which may or may not be why I didn't see this offer.

Just a theory.

I just got the offer and there is no way I'm going to be able to keep my status matched gold status.

FWIW I am about halfway to re-qualifying for WP and that was the only flight in my bookings.

Yep, I'm part of the second batch of recipients. I've attained about 100 SCs since the match.
