Another double SC promo already?

Well I never,got the email today as a status match gold.All my SCs go to mrsdrron.So my balance will still be zero but I can get a couple of flights in June.

I did not think it would happen but I have also received the offer!

Unfortunately I cannot use the offer as I do not have any free weekends between now and September. I wonder if I can save the offer and use it after September when I may try to requalify Virgin Gold.

After reading the thread it seems this offer is targeted at those who will definitly requalify anyway. Which means the offer doesn't actually cost Virgin anything but it makes them look good. Let's face it, its all about marketing.

I am a BIS Platinum and expect to requalify without any problems but looking at my current status it could go either way, which may or may not be why I didn't see this offer.

Just a theory.

I did this with the last double SC offer. Cancelled a couple of SYD-PER & rebooked them & used the credits for other flights outside the double SC period.

I've been inundated with offers from VA this week. If I take up the offer for Amex Velocity Plat card which will gift me 200SC, 241 J Int LH, 30,000 points + other freebies.....then take advantage of the double SC up until 30 June - I'll have another year of VA Plat for very little flying

Perhaps a POLL would be a good idea, then we could see how 'targeted' or at least a rough % who got it.

You’re obviously trying to tempt me (and others) to achieve Platinum….and I'm only 120 short of Gold and 5 months to go on my membership year. Hmmmm...

The biggest problem is once we have attained it, we don’t want to let it go…re-qualifying becomes the next game (I've already played that game with QF Platinum - dangerous )

Just checked Lindsay, its actually $488 each way to CNS, but still better value than flying to Mackay !
