just received the double status promo,,, but it was a item and a footnote on the monthly velocity statement.

So...round three, and I still miss out!

Got the statement, no double SC promo. I doubt I'll win the 250k points comp either......I was somewhat sarcastic with my entry, but DJ are now moving from mildly bemusing me, to really starting to p#ss me off with their "enhancements" and targeted promos at everyone except their long term clients :evil: :evil:

Poor effort DJ.....from my perspective anyway.

I don't think it'd round 3 - just a re-enforcement of round 2 for those selected who may have missed their email last week.

Same here, after routinely checking my email inbox and junk mail folder every 30 seconds or so, it finally arrived last night.

Would love to have a tilt at Platinum now.

Ah yes, but I do know about it! As well as the others I've also been shunned on.

What I'm really getting peeved about though, is the fact I was happily flying DJ before all these changes. Now I have a heap of so called benefits, which really equate to just one or two that actually impress me, but I'm forced to pay in excess of 35% more now for the privelege. I was never asked if I wanted the changes and although I've mentioned the dollar increase a few times (and I'm watching it intently), I've never really complained about it. But to rub salt in the wound, is for DJ to now offer all these "bonus" offers to the new comers (often new comers with little or no loyalty to DJ) and totally shun the likes of me! That's what's beginning to p#ss me off in no small measure. Stuff Virgin and their "let's win the QF loyalists over" policy. What about us who've shown loyalty for years, put up our cash during the tighter years and are now being done over by this corporate bulls#t. Where's OUR targeted promo? Where OUR thanks guys for your loyalty signs? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's getting just a wee bit sick of being the Virgin pleb!

I feel your pain though swanning_it, I have been excluded from all email offers as well, however this occasion doesn't bother me as stated previously, however with double sc, it probably would have tipped the scales for me to fly dj over qf on a couple of flights next week.

My story:

November 11 to Feb 2012 - Made my way from no status to Platinum due to the last double SC promo and a few overseas flights on Air NZ in J....

About 2 weeks after making Platinum I was emailed the double SC offer, but I already have 25+ flights for the rest of the year books, a few in J, some in Y and quite a few using points/pay for J....

Unfortunately my DFW-BNE-MEL in J in August is already booked so the QF one arrived too late. I've requalified for WP already anyway, so wouldn't have been any benefit other than towards my lifetime status.

Not quite - I qualified for Platinum myself, and have since requalified, so it has gone to some people with a degree of loyalty - although I'm still a relatively new DJ flyer in the last 2 years.

I got the Qantas offer for double status credits, but still no virgin offer. Disappointing, concidering I am a self funded Platinum (And husband, and kids gold). I had been enjoying the virgin offerings, however it seems like Qantas wants my business again.

FWIW: I got the double SC offer this time around. BIS plat, currently on about 1900 SC's since August and 3000 in last year or so. I've been gold with Virgin for about 3-4 years. So it's not just targeting the status matched this time around.
