This was the friday night of mrsdrron's arrival when we were staying at the Quest. All the parking near by becomes pay parking at 0800 on Saturday mornings.I wanted to sleep in so parked down by the North Esk river and walked back.Lonnie looks nice at night.First the Boag's Brewery.

Sunday and we lunched at the Joseph chromy Vineyard.A lovely place and good food. They have changed it to a choice of a 2 course or 3 course meal. This has cut down on the number of screaming kids running through the restaurant and so a much more pleasant dining experience.Lovely views.

One of the oysters was possibly off as later that night my belly was a little active.

On a miserable morning breakfast was at the coffeee shack.Might be OK if not raining as there are seats outside but not many inside.Just a coffee and a muffin. Then to the wood gallery.Tasmanian wood certainly lends itself to some beautiful pieces..

Can't complain about the rain. You're on the west coast and in my experience, rain is the normal condition. After a while, you don't notice that it's raining, just how heavy it is!
Interested in opinion on the Holm Oak Pinot Gris?

Thanks for that. Holm Oak Cab Sav was our tipple many years ago, discovered by staying at the Old Bakery (more recently the Art Series). It remained so until Paul Keating expressed his liking, which rather spoiled the taste. I haven't tried the Pinot Gris but suspect you have promoted a sale of at least one bottle!
