Any early check in at HKG?

In-town check, at HK Central, is currently operating limited hours and only for Cathay Pacific. I used it about two weeks ago (for a CX flight) and it was sad to see the place empty and deathly quiet.

Short answer "no".
Only just read this post, so this might be a bit late @RealtimeY but Counter J opened about 3.45 pm for QF128 4 weeks ago.

We were on QF30, HLO and had checked in online, but staff kindly did formalities as I had a shabby foot and looking forward to "Lounge"ing.

No mobility assistance though that early, despite being arranged. That was slated for only 2 hours before our flight
Weighed up whether to wait another few hours or hobble through Passport and security .....sore foot and time in Lounge airside won!

In Jayden Wong's latest video on You Tube he says self check in and bag drop at HKG airport starts at 1PM. Anyone else can confirm that is the case?

I can confirm that kiosk check in and self bag drop opens at 1pm. Arrived at 12:57, as soon as it ticked over to 13:00 the Qantas logo appeared on the kiosk screen. Able to print bag tags and complete self bag drop without any issues before leaving the airport again.

There were multiple staff at the self bag drop counter who were keen to assist. When we returned to the airport later there was also an ‘Early Check In’ Qantas counter at the other end of the row, not sure what time they opened.
