I had some flights in June booked through the complimentary flights from Velocity Amex. Those flights have been cancelled but I have not received any notice or emails about it. Has anybody had any experience with what Velocity Amex are doing about cancelled flights?

I had my annual Amex flight booked for last week and was advised to submit a travel credit request. I lodged that about two weeks ago but no outcome as yet (although I know there are delays with them processing these - understandable given the volume I'm sure they've received).

Thanks. Did you call Virgin directly to put the flights in credit or did you have to call Velocity Amex to do that?

I was told they’re still deciding if they reinstate the credit or just allow a rebook of the flights originally booked. I haven’t heard yet.

Tried doing it online but I get a message saying that changes cannot be made online and that I have to call the contact centre... Oh well, I'll deal with this closer to the time and try contacting them in late May (as my flights are for early June).

But will the credit 'value' be for a complimentary flight?

I called (via AMEX) this morning and VA advised that these bookings are going to be converted back to the normal flight credit with a new expiry date. Also that it would take about 2 weeks to re-appear in my account

My comp flight is yet to reappear so I called yesterday. They said they can see a memo that the comp flights are to be reinstated, but it is likely taking 6-8 weeks instead of the advised 2-3 weeks.
