Any no cost/very low cost way of keeping AA points?

I think particularly on your first review they may do this.

I did my first review a few days ago (after I saw the other post, basically) and just got an email saying that my review had been accepted. Now to wait for the AAdvantage miles. :)

I did a review and took the 'quick review' option. Now I wonder if you have to do the long version. And, do you have to join up to the review site to get the miles?

I had wondered the same thing... I did the quick option, and didn't join the site. I just added my AAdvantage number on the last page when submitting the review.

Quick review should be fine the first time I did it the points came through no worries.

Stayed in a hotel in the last 3 years?
if yes then a simple 2 minute hotel review will net you 70 AA miles and post in less than a week

Thanks for this, just submitted a few reviews to earn some points for my LH Miles & More account.

I like how the reviews can go back a year or two - I keep good records of my hotel confirmations and photos when I stay, so no problems for confirmation if they contact me.

i've been collecting Eithad points for awhile. i find the confirmation emails are very random though if you also submit a photo or two with your review, never been challenged

Thanks DrRon - I did exactly that with my first few.
I'm travelling this week, so this will kill some lounge time over a wine or two between flights :) - I can dig out a lot more of these old hotel stays with dates & pics, anything that tops the points up is a good way to waste some time.

GMail can be so useful.

Did a search for e-rewards and came up with this from an old statement (btw V offer then was 15% points bonus and 30% off redemptions):

Join the e-Rewards® Opinion Panel today.

Despite this being from a 2012 V email the offer still works. Be warned they want a lot of detailed info to get the 'right surveys' to you.

The link is set for Velocity.

A little imagination and you get AAdvantage.

I seem to have no imagination as to how to get AA, it just defaults to Velocity. Please explain ...

...and DrRoss, apologies for calling you DrRon ^ earlier :)
I'm having Doctor-forum-member-confusion issues it seems...

I suspect there is a general 'e-rewards' sign-up page. That gives you the whole range of reward options.

Yes.. If you go to e-Rewards Opinion Panel | Answer surveys, Earn Rewards, Easy.
select australia

Click " rewards" on the left side

AA comes up in the list along with etihad, united, IHG etc etc

Just to clarify my comments. It appears I was incorrect. Whilst AA is a reward partner ( sponsor ), if you sign up through say the velocity link then the rewards are velocity. I am thinking for the AA option you will need to sign up through AA for this.

Yeah I think the AA promotion expired a while ago, I have scoured the net but can't find a working link. I Also tried editing the Velocity link but it didn't work.

I emailed erewards about 6 weeks ago, and after about a week I got a reply saying that I had to be "invited" by AA or whomever. I don't think I have ever rec'd an invite to any of them.

Usually with e-rewards if you join via an airline program you can only redeem for that airline program plus a number of hotel programs and if you join via a hotel program you can only redeem for that hotel program and a number of airline programs.
For most programs you have to wait until you receive an invitational email but Accor Le Club has the invitation on their website. So you can join e-rewards via Accor Le club but redeem instead for AAdvantage (or Etihad, United, Virgin Atlantic, Iberia, germanwings or KLM/Air France)
https://secure.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/benefits/partners/erewards.shtml
2,000 e-rewards points redeems for 500 AAdvantage miles.
