I'm planning a trip down memory lane
You could be getting a holiday in Montevideo instead!

Yes, so do I, and I booked with Ponant March last year. I don't have flights yet. I'm thinking it may be better to cancel and rebook another Ponant cruise - the Kimberley? - for August 2021. I can't reschedule the Antarctic trip in 2022 because there is only one sailing (Falklands, South Georgia, Antarctica) and my cabin category is already sold out.I have an incredibly expensive Antarctica trip booked for January 2021 ..... booked many months ago. Fingers crossed!
Yep, we still have 'tentative' cruise and flights into Europe in Sep/Oct 2020, accepting that it may have to be cancelled or altered drastically. Also still holding cruise booking Dubai-Rome in May 2021 and will go ahead and book trip and flights around that when/if those areas open up. Failing that we will pack up and camp through northern Australia at earliest cool weather opportunities. Maintaining a positive position and hoping for the best.I am not sure if a similar thread has been posted, but i am hoping to visit Russia and Scandinavia in late May 2021.
However i do realise that there are many uncertainties and variables which are out of our control (ie. Lifting of travel restrictions, borders re opening, planes starting to fly again etc)
So i won't be booking any award tickets and hotels soon.
I suppose, another thing to watch out for , is whether travel insurance will cover any virus related expenses.
I am just curious if anyone here is planning to travel overseas or domestically next year ?
I read an article which said that cruise companies and some tour operators have already had many bookings !
I am travelling in late 2020 as I am getting married later this year and then we will head off to Kuala Lumpur for another wedding ceremony and then go to Hong Kong. Perhaps going to Japan for honeymoon then.
We have an Antarctica cruise booked for February 2021 and I'm hopeful but not very confident that we'll be able to go. Final payment is due in October so if things aren't looking good by September I'll move the booking to 2022. I won't rush to buy air tickets with this uncertainty and if it looks like we'll be able to go hopefully there will be some sale air fares later in the year.I have an incredibly expensive Antarctica trip booked for January 2021 ..... booked many months ago. We are joining family and friends in African to celebrate a 60th in September 21. Hoping to finally experience the Blue Train.
