Credit Card Offers ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 bonus Qantas Points + $100 back

Also, does anyone have any recent experience on whether or not the QFF points will be issued at the first statement after the spend criteria is met (as per usual for most / 99% of rewards cards), or, would the same thing happen as per above (bonus points taking months / multiple statements later to be issued)?

Just bumping - does anyone have any recent experience with the ANZ QFF cards and when the bonus points / cashback are awarded?

Hoping that the QFF line of cards doesn't take as long as the ANZ rewards line of cards.

I doubt those are recent reports.

This year, for Westpac and NAB, my colleague was able to get a pro-rated annual fee reimbursement.

I guess ANZ don't offer this, although the worst they can say is "no" if asked. Don't ask, don't get.

look back at my previous post #213 in this thread for my recent (Jan 2025) experience.

Thankyou, so it seems that ANZ awards the bonus QFF points at the first statement after meeting the spend criteria, which is to be expected.

My ANZ rewards card was otherwise - it took >2 statements after meeting the spend criteria for the bonus points to be issued, effectively almost taking the entire 90 days / 3 months from meeting the spend criteria T&C.

Long story short -
ANZ QFF - Awards points and cashback from the first statement after meeting spend criteria
ANZ Rewards - Only awards points and cashback within 3 months of meeting spend criteria

To be clear, I achieved the spend challenge during my second statement period. The bonus points were NOT noted on the second statement. They were identified on my third statement and landed in my QFF account the day after they appeared on the statement. So its NOT the first statement after achieving the spend challenge. It is effectively the second statement after achieving the goal. Meet spend 1 day into the statement period and its almost 2 months before seeing the points. Complete the challenge the day before statement is issued and points will be included in the following statement (one month later). So its between 1 and 2 months after reaching the spend challenge.

Interesting situation due to ANZ error, I received double bonus points (90000 x 2) and double $200 refund…I ignored it and the extra 90,000 points were reversed and the extra $200 debited….
So no big deal…today received letter from ANZ acknowledging error, and advise of debiting of extra $200
They also state in their letter
“The duplicate 90,000 Bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points of will remain credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account, and no further action will be taken to withdraw it”
How would you read that ??? A chat with ANZ claims they are referring to the legitimate points, but would that require a reference to “further action”
Note the oddly placed “of” is in the original text
Appreciate this may be seen as being a bit cheeky…I may just let it go…

I wouldn't let it go. They said they would give you free points - at least that's my read on it.
You could push them for the extra $200 and go to AFCA if they don't ;)

I would let it go. There was a mistake, they realise that, they claw back the points, it s the normal outcome. Someone on the email didn't phrase it correctly, but I don't think it should be ground for a claim. My 2 cents.

So I've applied for, and have been approved for the ANZ FF Platinum card (75k pts + $100 cashback after $2.5k eligible spend).
This will be the 3rd time I've had this card - once in 2018, again in 2023 and now in 2025.

In both of my previous experiences in having this card (among other QFF/VFF cards), the points and cashback have been awarded at the first statement after the spend criteria is met.

ie.
Statement period is the 15th to 14th (using today as an example for simplicity) of each month.

Assuming the spend criteria is met before the 14th of May with all pending transactions posted, a statement is issued on or around the 17th of May - the points and cashback should be awarded sometime next month (May), not June.

Let's hope that this is the case for this ANZ FF Platinum card.

As with most things in this space, YMMV is the key. I posted about my own experience earlier this year, so that is an accurate representation of the facts as I experienced in my most recent uptake of this card (third time too for me). I do not remember the exact timing of points arriving from my previous times with this card. But based on my experience with the ANZ FF Black card in December 2024, I would NOT be assuming points arrival at the end of the statement period in which the spend challenge is completed. I have not seen any reports here of people with a more recent experience than mine that would suggest any different, unless it is different for ANZ FF Platinum card.

Please do report back with your outcome so we have anew data point as reference.
