Just had a (small) win.
I use a money clip.
Generally, my Visa has historically been my most used card (I only want to carry one CC, Amex isn't accepted everywhere)[Now, I carry both as my money clip has expanded in size through use]). My Visa is therefore very scratched up, the signature completely disappeared, theres no way anyone in the world could read the security code all the plastic has started to peel off most of the edges. There isn't a scratch of silver left on any of the numbers on the front of the card. Etc.
I was 'worried' ANZ would charge me to replace it (BankSA did when my GF lost my EFTPOS card)...
Instead, I just rang up ANZ and asked for a Visa paywave to replace my Visa. Two days later, brand new Visa, with the exact same numbers / PIN /expiry arrives, completely free (and, obviously, with paywave technology). Win, win, win.
Sure, only a minor win, and I may have got the card replaced for free anyway??... but, it's the small things in life
