In my experience , you need to login to ANZ rewards portal and check if the points have been posted. If your card variant is related to velocity points , then the additional step is to link your velocity number to the ANZ rewards account so the points are converted automatically. YMMV

Yep, I've logged into the ANZ Rewards portal and have already manually transferred 3k ANZ pts (from the regular spend) to 1.5k VFF pts.

I'm now just waiting for the 100k bonus ANZ pts to be posted - I'll then again do a manual transfer.
