10 Apr LHR T5 F - 6am-~7am.
13 Apr PRG BA Lounge ~11am-12pm.

Unless one of you is a non-Qantas Emerald, whereupon a different rule applies and access should be granted.
Keep forgetting that one. It almost looks like a mistake. Why would Qantas have stricter entry criteria to the F Lounge for their own Platinums (Emeralds) over other Oneworld Emeralds?

Maybe for a similar reason that AAdvantage elites do not have access to AC's for domestic North American itineraries unless they are paid AC members.

I'll be travelling with my wife and aiming for First lounges where possible, so guesting is limited, but opportunities in Istanbul, Amsterdam, Chicago, San Francisco. Can't say I'm that impressed with the CBR J lounge, though it is quieter than the hurly-berley of the QP, so if anyone is passing through on the 8th in the QP, happy to meet in the regular ruck.

Forgive my ignorance...But that reason is???

I rarely fly to NA, so am a bit confused by this.

It's a cost saving measure.

AA get revenue for the entry of elites of other oneworld programs and their guest into their A/C facilities; they would get no additional revenue when an AAdvantage elite uses an A/C (even if they are an A/C member). e.g. If a QF WP uses an A/C, Qantas 'pays' AA a specific amount; in the same way, if an AA EXP uses a QP, AA 'pay' QF a certain amount.

They do permit AAdvantage Platinum and Exec. Platinum A/C entry when on international itineraries.

To further differentiate, oneworld Elites get drink/coughtail vouchers when entering A/C with Bars - A/C members have to purchase their own drink/coughtails when travelling domestically.

My very first post!

Hello fellow frequent flyers,

My name is Jourdan and I am a QP, NB, E (unless I can get my hands on a cheap J!) flying member. I prefer NOT to fly DJ (the 'flair' makes me cringe) but have done the odd ridiculously cheap TT flight to see what all the fuss is about. Sarcasm?

I will be at the BNE QP 9/4 from 12:00 - 13:00 and I can guest anyone who is interested in joining (drinking yourself silly?) for a chat! Do any F or J flyers actually voluntarily use the QP?

I will also be at CBR QP on 13/4 13:00 - 15:00 if any member is interested in a second round.
