Aquire 10k bonus at Storage King

After three calls to Storage King, two emails and one phone call to Aquire they finally called me back yesterday to apologise it took so long and said the points will hit my account in the next 7 days.
Lucky I have plenty points so not stressed about getting my 20K a few weeks late (if and when I will finally get them) but must say it wasn't the best executed promo.

Just par for the course - the whole Aquire system is a total shambles IMHO - you have no idea the problems / time involved in getting 40K bonus pts for Westpac Business Card - almost made my hair fall out.

I can imagine the horror, still recovering from the battle I had with Regus...
The basic Aquire programme is fantastic, I earn tens of thousands of extra points for flights I would have done anyway so in this regard it's a win win.
The problems start when all kinds of partners join in and there is absolutely no communication between the parties, T&Cs are written by amateurs and need to be amended shortly after and when something goes wrong they all throw the blame on each other instead of trying to fix the issue.
 
Every Aquire promotiom has been a flop.

You mean a flop for Qantas? Maybe.
For us members there were some awesome ones like spending $2 at staples and getting 10,004 points while others that were not that good.
Keep in mind all these promos earn us some very cheap points so it's ok to win some and lose some.

Mostly next to free points - I don't think any promo has been a flop - poorly administered yes - incredibly frustrating to chase up the points - but no such thing as a free lunch hey boom boom?
 
Had signed up with Storage King in February because of the bonus offer and like you terminated so that I only paid and "used" the one month. (turned out I didnt require it as I thought). Having seen no points on my Acquire points, I finally got around to making an enquiry.

Storage King transferred me to the branch where I paid and signed up, the guy there said to ring Acquire. The Acquire guy suggested I speak to the branch fellow because he should have emailed the details to Aquire - I said i didnt wish to bother him again as he didnt seem to have any idea, and said I would email the supporting documentation to Aqure ie Storage Agreement that clearly had my ABN recorded, payment receipt, screen dump copy of Aquire offer conforming 10,000 points for a minimum months storage for new customer.

Should be straightforward but its not looking as if they are keen to honour what was promised. Ill keep you posted...


After almost giving up I am happy to report that I now have finally been awarded the 10K points

Haven't seen my 30k points yet and was just starting to wonder who to start chasing this with. I'll contact the three storage king branches this week and see what they have to say!

I just got fed up waiting and contacted Acquire directly and emailed them the proof along with the original Aquire offer of what was required originally in order to collect the points, ie indisputable facts that I was well overdue in not having the points allocated as per their offer. In the fullness of time they came through albeit with a few reminder phone calls...

I sent a couple of emails to that address when regarding my StorageKing points and got no reply, I mean nothing at all, not even a courtesy automatic reply, so rude! After waiting a few weeks I finally called Aquire, demanded to speak to a supervisor (I did use my DYKWIA P1 status this time) and the matter was solved within a few days.
 
I am also missing some points. Might be time to get in touch with Acquire.

Unlike some of the more savvy AFFers I still have my storage unit and am using it!!!


Bit of a rubbish promotion when you need to chase the points.

What?! Next you're gonna say that you earn most of your QF points by actually flying with them... Ridiculous :p
 
Quick update.

Red Roo messaged a few days ago, asking for further details, and suggested I contact a colleague of theirs in Qantas Loyalty. Emailed the said colleague with the relevant details and the points for 3x Storage Lockers have hit my account this morning.

I wasn't sure whether or not to start a new thread, but decided on not and keeping this discussion here, however now there seems to be a 20k bonus for signing up to a storage space at Storage King under the Aquire program?

The link is below, BUT there are these problems which I have experienced:

The link says "UP TO 20,000 points" and nothing in the T&C's explains anything clearly. I called Aquire and they say it's a Storage King issue - ring them.

I rang Storage King and they say it's only 10k points. On the Storage King website, it does actually only say 10k.

So question is, what is it? Qantas can't give me a clear answer and Storage King say it is only 10k. Anyone here with any possible answers?

It's pathetic, I am still waiting.

For those of us who actually run businesses and create value in the economy the last thing we want to do is be stuck chasing QANTAS for points that we are entitled to, but they can't credit to our accounts.
