Well glad I haven't booked April flights yet.

I have received neither the email nor the offer. And I do have a use for it. Oh, the irony...

Send a PM? To me not those other people... ;)

Ditto too :)

In the spirit of AFF cooperation if any non-Aquire members would like to avail themselves the 50% extra SCs feel free to send me a pm. ;)
Handy instead of having to do a status run.

Another Aquire account willing to register any new employees who need the bonus SCs.

Me three or four or 5.

Should be under Offers, on the left hand side.

"Exclusive" Offers

Back off you lot... I've got first dibs on this  ;)

Bit sensitive are we kev? ;)

I would think that no-one who is not already an Aquire member would bother reading this thread anyway.

That said I am just so eager to help anyone who is not in Aquire to earn 150% SC next time they fly.

I’ve always known AFF to be a caring and sharing community. :)

However in the spirit of the program, I must remind you that members will be denied Aquire Points and Qantas Status Credits if earned under fraudulent conditions.

Good to see. Many of us are happy to see boundaries pushed, few like to see rules deliberately broken.

Member means an ABN Holder having a postal mailing address in Australia who is registered with Aquire as a member of the Aquire Loyalty Program and Membership has a corresponding meaning

Members earn Aquire Points, at the applicable rate specified in the Airline Earn Table or in any special offer, for air travel booked and paid for by the Member and travelled by their Aquire Flyers for the Member's business purposes

Don't have a home for your Aquire points? Don't let them go to waste. PM to find out how.

I'm really struggling to see your point. Are you trying to claim to know more about other AFF members' business purposes, and arrangements, than the member themselves?

Hey Guys, First post ! Been lurking here and IHG thread for a month or 2 and finally made an account.
Quick question: Does making an Acquire account and pegging flights to it have any impact on taxation or for the business ?

eg. I have an ABN, but I also take personal flights. I want to use my Acquire account on those personal flights but do not want those flights to be officially "For Business" for all intents and purposes.
Or I give my ABN number to my mother when she flies to also use.

I don't think it really would, as it's just tracked with Qantas ? Would love to hear from some one more savvy.

And thanks heaps for all the info on this forum guys !
I'm a new traveller about to hit SG :D

You are on the right track. Just book Mum and your own flights to Aquire. She does do your bookkeeping, doesn't she?

Exactly.

Just make sure to note the definitions in Aquire.
Or else you might be accused of fraud or something.

Email has now been resent with the Bonus Status Credits in the Title. A good idea methinks. ;).

What are the tax implications for a sole trader who's registered in Aquire just for the initial bonus points (20,000 at the time), doesn't conduct any business/travels only for leisure, and puts in the ABN just for these bonus SC's?

Before registering for Aquire, I used to get SC's bonus offers all the time; now, only through Aquire...

I have booked a flight to AKL next weekend, but the flight was booked December 30. Im Aquire registered previously. Im hoping that by providing my ABN I can get the extras offered

Considering the T&Cs state:

4 Aquire Members must (b) book an Eligible Domestic or International Flight between 12.01am (AEST) 27 January 2016 and 11.59pm (AEST) 29 February 2016

I think you will be out of luck. But you never know.

Nope, T&C say you have to book after January 27.

I'm not aware of anyway that Aquire can change your relationship with the tax office - so no tax implications. But note that Aquire requires the travel to be for business purposes.
