Are you a seat recliner ?

Didn't Ryanair do that? Remove reclining seats as it saved weight and cost?

Probably, or maybe installed a paying mechanism if you want to pay for a recline :D

Cousin of mine did the red-eye from PER on JQ and the seats did not recline on that aircraft...

I am fairly sure a section of JQ A320's don't have reclining seats.

I still think the best solution is non-recliners at the front of the cabin and recliners at the back of the cabin and they can recline all over each other to their hearts content.

As I said in another thread outside of meal times "all's fair in love and reclining in long haul Y"

Actually put the non-recliners at the back and I'll totally agree with you.

How about non recliners only fly when there is enough of them to fill their own aircraft :!:
From what I can see only one group are asked to compromise and be considerate.

Feature is there and we can use it. Me, me, me, me and me....

I think you can aim the 'me, me, me, me' at both sides of the argument. Ultimately that is what both sides are arguing!

FWIW, typically I don't use the full recline, but if the person in front chooses to, I pretty much have to.

I agree, if the pax in front reclines, what choice do I have ? As many pax have pointed out, if the airlines provide the facility to recline, like it or hate it, you can't fight it. I personally rarely recline as I rarely sleep on planes except for the above situation. No point having an air rage incident over something that you can't control.

Not quite. My non-reclining does not harm anyone. And that is the key to this argument.

That I understand. I am yet to see someone prove that reclining is absolutely necessary for comfort.

Either that or us non-recliners are heartless....

Some people need to lie back for comfort.

No, but your reasoning seems to be that "since YOU do not recline, then NO-ONE ELSE should recline" - that can harm others.
Recline all you like. It is not for me to stop you.

But either way you look at it I am being considerate of others where as the couple that slam their seat back in unison on a SYD-CBR flight during ascent are.... well.... They are indescribable....

I Fully agree with this and, as I have already posted:
I don't ask - but I recline gradually and slowly.

i.e. A bit at a time, about 5 minutes apart.

After about 20 minutes I am generally at max recline.
FWIW, I would not bother on a SYD/CBR segment ...
