It was a dead rubber. England didn't really care all that much. Our fickle batting order is still fickle and you will find that except for this last innings, it is mostly the middle - lower end making all the runs.

It was a dead rubber and Australia in total control both with bat and ball but weather spoiled game.

Take the tame draw and dont give the opposition a chance to get their confidence back which is what happened.

And yes Australia may still have a fickle batting line up but I believe England will struggle on our pitches.

The latest news article on the "Pee on a Pitch" (or if you like it better, Wee on a Wicket) saga. What were they thinking???? (not a lot apparently, alcohol addled what little brains they were using at the time?) One must always consider the consequences of ones' action.
