I thought it was solved but then it does not allocate me a seat at all on the 737 if there is an aircraft substitution.

Just need to keep one step ahead and constantly look at bookings in the next month or so.

QF change their aircraft a lot I notice. I have a couple of domestic bookings in April and the number of equipment changes these bookings have had is unbelievable. Had a flight changed from 73H tot 734 (which made me unhappy as I am in J) to 767 with AB in Business to only 767 with only A in Business...

There was a seat snatcher in my seat on the MKY-ROK flight on Sunday when I was last to board. I had 1D on the DHC-300 and he was sitting in my seat. The FA asked both 1C and 1D for their boarding passes and they were sitting in the right seats.

I said to her not to worry about it and I will move back to row 3 as the guy looked like a very infrequent flyer and I did not want to spoil his flight. Got approval from the captain and I sat in row 3 on the short flight.

I wonder if it had anything to do with the JQ check-in agent in MKY when I asked if there was a spare exit row available? Perhaps she was getting me back for all the times I have put down JQ!
