ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Anyone have recent experience of paying qld osr with a citi card? Points paid? Will need to pay $40k stamp duty next month and my options are citi select or pestwac alt black...

I had a big land tax bill so I put a lot on CitiExecutive AA miles ,some on pestwacalt black and some on EDRCC. Sharing is caring but I don't know about Australian Citi but they have paid everything else except ATO.
This bill was just too large to do as a tester.

It looks like ANZ Black and CBA Diamond are the 2 options for non Qantas points earn since the demise of WestPac. Any others I should consider?

I'd prefer not to be locked into a single program.

Someone said NAB Velocity was working, but this wasn't the case for me when I tried 2 weeks ago.

Took about 4 weeks and 2 phone calls to get the ATO refund after overpaying my last BAS...caused a bit of a squeeze on my cash flow as had a rather large credit card bill to pay off before I got the refund:p...

Well, ANZ annual fee is $375, about $20 cheap cf. CBA Black (if you are pre-existing CBA member, the fee is $395 for CBA Black). Same earn rate and same point conversion, I think.
Amex: $1=3 Points, 3 Points = 1 KF
Can warehouse

Nab Velocity was the only other card that gets ATO points, but locked to VA, but can convert to KF.
Amex: $1 = 1.5 VA, 1.5 VA = 1.11 KF (1.35:1 conversion rate)
Can't warehousing, also dependent on VA & KF maintaining their relationship.

As you can tell, I'm more after KF miles. From the above, which one would be the better option?

CBA Diamond can't convert direct to KF, but converts to VA at 2:1, so is effectively the same as the NAB Velocity card (effective 1.11 pts/$ on the Amex).

The CBA Diamond gets 1.5QF points for $1 on its Amex spend so slightly better than KF conversion rates.

CBA Diamond is Capped at $333,333 Amex spending pa ==> the 1 million CBA points cap

So what i did was spilt the credit limit into two cards ==> 2 million points cap for AMEX/MC transactions

Double the game then!

I just received an email from Commbank alerting me to a new double points on Mastercard spend offer and informing that I qualified because I locked, blocked or limited access to my MC. The email links to this info page, scroll down for FAQ:

https://www.commbank.com.au/persona...oints.html?intcmp=double-points-b1-learn-more

If I am reading this right it seems to apply to ATO spend and would mean effectively earning 1.25 QFF points per dollar spent (instead of the usual 0.625) whilst only paying the MC surcharge of 0.42%.

Looks promising. Always take screen captures of the promo
Check how many CBA points u have left under the cap before maxing out

My bad. I guess its ANZ vs. NAB if you want KF from ATO payments. Leaning towards ANZ for flexibility.

Just opted into the double MC promo using Netbank and confirmed it will work for points that automatically convert to QF points each month.

So $1MC on Commbank Diamond =1.25 x 2 =2.5 Commbank rewards points x 0.5 convert to QF points =1.25 QF per $ spend on MC

Now that is a market leader!!
