ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I do seem to be carrying a few passengers on my back when it comes to ATO.
The only thing I am disgusted with recently was the Sydney hostage taker was on a disability pension and used our legal aid money.
If you are 10% disabled why can't we have that person get 10% of the disability pension.
We have workers who have disabilities and they enjoy working and we are proud of them.
So far none of the quarterlies are eye watering ones so I am not sure whether to be thrilled or disappointed. If I was thinking that life was a frequent flyer point that would be a problem with Mrscove.

Bit annoyed after others told me that Jetstar Plat Card (Mac Bank) earned ATO points.

Categorically does not. Just spent last 30mins on phone trying to sort out. Apparently there was a systems 'glitch' which allowed some people to earn points for a time on ATO but that has been 'fixed' now....

Not sure if others already knew this or I just listened to the wrong people!

Now Woolies EDR cards have moved to Mac Bank I'm sure the clock is ticking down on being able to earn on those too.

+1 !

About your quarterlies ... not (my) usual quarterly BAS you're talking about?

I assume the similar issuer means he is making a (educated) guess.

It's worth noting this is a Woolworths product, Mac is just the card issuer, so technically it would be up to Woolworths to pull the points as they'd be picking up the bill. It has little relationship to direct Mac cards.

They might take the lead from them though which would leave few 1:1 cheap options available.

Well when I had Jetstar Plat ATO went thru fine... Been on Mac Plat last 2 years ATO fine....I'd check as first I have heard "glitch"

I did a tester with SA land tax last night. It was a bit cute paying $2000 a go on a credit card so rather than pay the whole year and stay up for hours I chose to put 3 months on the Woolies EDRCC.
We had been at the cricket where we snatched a defeat from the jaws of victory.

Does anyone want to start an updated list of working v not working cc for ATO with all the changes that are happening?

for someone with 12 posts? good luck chief.

you'd make a good impression if you started the list by going through the past couple of pages. as you may have noticed there has been a roundabout of preferred cards which have been culled over the past year so no doubt the list will be superseded.

which game are you two talking about?

big bash last night. strikers vs scorchers - there was a 6 hit to tie it up with 2 balls remaining and then a single to win, after the guy had run his teammate out earlier in the over.

Jetstar earn is gone now.
Is your Mac Plat still working out of interest? Last transaction?

I put $10000 stamp duty through Qld OSR on my wizz-bang-700-bucks-a-year-all-the-bells-and-whistles-comes-in-a-black-shoebox-but-what-do-you-know-it's-still-a-credit-card-by-city-bonk (premier) and they took forever to list the transaction on my account and to add the points (5 business days). Despite the delay this encouraged me to put the remainder of the bill through. Still waiting for the second part to appear on my online statement.
