ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

With QCUCC the limit may be $10,000 to ATO per day. I have found it worked next day so no real problem as long as you know this. Do not call them. Just start early to avoid running out of days to get it all paid.

They make no mention of it because they do not have a "special category" for ATP payments, unlike other cards. I did it recently, the earn is the same for any other normal purchase:

I just rang the ANZ and on the Platinum they said it was only 1 QFF on the Amex and O.5 on the VISA. ?????
She said it changed a year ago, but you are earning 1.5 QFF per $ on the Plat Amex?

I have ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum card and am still earning 1.5 points per dollar on the AMEX, though there's a $6K points cap per statement period for both the Visa and Amex (so up to $12K per statement period if you use both cards).

At the moment, there's a 25% bonus going to, so this card is getting some more-than-regular use.

So what are best options going forward for big ATO payments?

I found out the hard way that NAB had stopped paying for ATO payments.

If money no object as far as fees, are there any cards that pay uncapped on ATO payments?

Wow that's terrible. So does that mean you can never bank with that particular bank ever again?

Is it then possible to get a facility with another bank?
What happened in your case?

Surely the bank could give a warning and give you a chance to say sorry I will never do it again. That's very harsh

It was only the Amex we lost so no big deal. We still had Visa/MC.
Was able to get a new personal amex about 6 m later but never bothered with the merchant facility. They asked us to sign up again a couple of years later (merchant facility)but i told them to jam it. Who wants to give a card company 2.5%+, per transaction. Never missed them really and EVERY customer has a back-up Visa.

Does anyone recall if HSBC had an annual cap for FF points, prior to the recent rule change to max 2,500 ATO spend per month, think it may be just time to go into credit in a "greater than small" way before the rule change comes into effect?

That is the best approach burnt. Good thinking or is that just me being warped by the pursuit of points?

Does anyone know if Westpac BusinessChoice Aquire Rewards Card pays for ATO expenditure?
I cannot quote for his exact card but most other Westpac cards are 50 % points for ATO or none at all. This applies to my Black(amex /mc) and Business Plat(amex/visa) cards

Better you do your own tester and use the Amex card of that account if there is one.

I don't actually have one but was going to apply for it for other reasons apart from ATO. It is 0.66 Acquire / Qantas points per dollar. No Amex for this card. T&Cs don't mention ATO.

Mrscove is heading into ANZ Black CC as it worked for covejr.
This month I have worn down multiple cards as it is a BAS as well as quarterlies.
