Could someone please remind me if the Qantas Cash card still pays 0.5 pts per $1 for ATO payments?

mmmm....managed to find some info on the Qantas cash site. Looks like it's 1 pt per $4 AUD.

No probs. Here it is. I use the iMacros for Chrome plugin to run this. Replace the xx_XX with your PRN and email address. Verify the CONTENT values are what you want them to be. The wait times were added to ensure each page had enough time to load before the macro pressed the next button. At the settings below, I found there were no failures. If I reduced the wait time, I would get the occassional failure in the email sending part.

Nowhere near as good. Not sure why I never got a 3 point per $ card.

Westpac has just announced that they will be discontinuing their co-branded American Express cards by 2019. For the few of us still running with the Westpac Amex Kris Flyer card this will be quite sad.
I almost enjoyed paying ATO on this card.

You know how to hurt kpc. I just had a discussion with Mrscove and she just said I needed to face up to the prospect of buying Suites flights......
May need to discuss this with someone in a white medical coat.....it has been about a decade since I bought a business class ticket on SQ to Frankfurt and back.
I think I will have a three year stash running from April 2018 so no quick rush to crowd up the medical system.

This is terrible news. I sense accidental overpayments over the next 6 months...
I have not had to look at ATO alternative payment options for many years as Kris Flyer Amex was the most efficient card for this purpose.
Will now have to do some serious research to look at options.
Paying tax may no longer have an associated saving grace...

My Visa Only1s are being declined at the ATO today. I get a message saying declined, contact my financial institution.

Checking the card balance online the initial $100 balance is intact, and I get the usual transaction description for the usual $99.85, but unusually it is in struckthrough text also suggesting it was declined:

Purchase - ATO PAYMENT SYDNEY AU​

Anyone else experiencing issues with the Visa Only1s and the ATO?

Yes, same here. Hopefully it'll get sorted out on Monday. (I used a card I bought a couple of weeks ago)

I've had similar issues with Energy Australia where their site will only accept 3 or 4 Visa 1's per day; seems to be something to do with an "anti-robot" algorithm. I wait 24 hours and its fine. YMMV.
